Since partnering for our first growth in 2023, Elifunt has been driving organic marketing and SEO-based growth, primarily for B2B companies. We have supported business growth through a 'Content Growth Marketing' framework that combines search intent analysis, website structure design, and content strategy to generate tangible traffic and conversions. Over the past time, I have personally witnessed B2B companies creating sustainable growth graphs through organic marketing. Then, suddenly, I began to ask a new question.
Elifunt’s Experiment: “Can an Organic Growth Model Proven in B2B Be Applied to B2C Commerce?”
To verify this question firsthand in the field, Elifunt an SEO project for small brands' online stores, and this article presents the results of that project with our first partner, the 'Soyfrom' team. Just how far can e-commerce grow with organic marketing strategies?
Creating Results in Highly Competitive E-commerce with Organic Marketing
The first company to contact us as a project partner Soyfrom, a. Although Soyfrom possessed high product quality—including the capabilities of a professional manufacturer and reliable domestic ingredients—and sophisticated brand assets, organic traffic from their own online store was close to zero. They relied almost entirely on advertising for their traffic. Under these circumstances, the Soyfrom team also strongly felt the need for organic marketing, and we launched a project to discover new opportunities ahead of the summer season, the peak season for protein foods.

From commerce traffic that relied solely on advertising to achieving organic inflow results.
The first point identified during the initial project diagnosis was that the traffic structure of Soyfrom's official online store relied almost entirely on paid advertising. Another concern was the lack of case studies demonstrating how effective SEO can be within the web builder environment used by most domestic e-commerce brands. Therefore, this project aimed to resolve Soyfrom's issues while simultaneously examining the most realistic strategies for achieving organic growth based on a web builder (Cafe24).
'Soyfrom's' own online store, which lacked an organic funnel and had a site structure difficult for Google to detect
Furthermore, most of the existing content and detail pages were in image form, and metadata was set uniformly across all pages, resulting in a situation where search engines could not index the content. The customer funnel was also not designed to be suitable for search traffic. Instead of thoroughly exploring health information related to the product, exposure was focused solely on the product details displayed on the detail pages. Ultimately, we made it a core task to design an SEO funnel from scratch that leads from exploration to interest to conversion.

For this project, we adopted a two-track strategy of simultaneously overhauling the technical SEO foundation and building a search intent-driven content funnel to verify results in a short period. Through this content, Yang Yong-jun of Search9, who connected us with the Soyfrom team for this project and took charge of the technical tasks! 🙂
1. Technical SEO: Redesigning metadata that search engines can understand
Technical SEO was the process of refining language so that search engines could accurately understand the site. Although the product detail pages contained different products, all pages shared the same metadata. Since search engines determine page distinctions based on metadata, duplicate content leads to them being considered the 'same page,' causing a problem where ranking evaluation is not performed properly.
To address this, Search9 utilized Cafe24's variable feature to build a structure where product names and summary descriptions are automatically reflected in the metadata. This dynamic structure, which automatically generates Title, Description, and Schema whenever a page is created, served as a foundation for rapid indexing of product pages and helped search engines recognize the site more clearly.
In addition, we organized the robots.txt settings, submitted a sitemap, and applied structured data (Product, NewsArticle schemas) to improve page comprehension, reduce crawling costs, and increase ranking stability.

2. Content SEO: Planning related topics to reinforce thematic relevance based on core keywords
The content SEO strategy originated from the realization that targeting a single keyword alone is insufficient to achieve satisfactory results.Since search engines now reflect the "credibility of the entire topic" more strongly than individual keywords, it was crucial to create a single topic cluster by densely expanding related topics around the targeted core keywords (e.g., Switch On, plant-based protein). Analyzing the customer journey before and after searching revealed a pattern where exploratory questions such as "diet," "protein foods," and "protein on an empty stomach in the morning" appeared first around the core keywords, followed by a transition to problem-solving keywords like "acne-free protein" and "protein for gout patients." The structural objective of content SEO was to seamlessly connect this entire flow within the website.
Therefore, this project was designed to organize related topics centered on core keywords that encompass interest and traffic funnels, ensuring that search engines recognize Soyfrom as a brand with expertise in the subject areas of "protein, plant-based, and diet." Consequently, the method of building related topics is a key factor that Google determines as highly relevant to the keyword; this is advantageous for achieving high keyword rankings and can serve as a foundation for expanding organic traffic in a short period.

Strengthening the thematic focus of magazine pages and planning structured content
for massive monthly searches of 'protein shake' and 'Switch On,'
achieving a 650% growth in organic traffic within one month.
In segments with monthly search volumes reaching hundreds of thousands, such as 'protein shake' and 'Switch On,' competition is intense, making it difficult for new brands to achieve top rankings in a short period. However, following technical improvements and one month of content distribution, Soyfrom's website rapidly reached Google Page 1 entry, top rankings, and AI Overview exposure within just one month.
Achieving top rankings on major keywords is not merely about securing a position; it also signifies that search engines have recognized the brand as trustworthy in this field. Securing top exposure in a short period, even for major keywords with a monthly volume of hundreds of thousands, was a highly meaningful achievement.

These results were significant not only from the perspective of brand growth for Soyfrom but also served as a confirmation that sufficient growth can be achieved in e-commerce simply by solidifying one's SEO fundamentals. Search engine visibility can be increased in a short period of time by merely clarifying meta-information and designing content that reinforces the topics you wish to cover.

Now, commerce must also prepare its fundamental organic strength.
I believe this project demonstrated new opportunities in response to the question, "Can e-commerce grow organically?" I hope that in 2026, we will have the opportunity to further examine the performance of content that drives conversions beyond just traffic in the e-commerce sector! If you have any SEO concerns regarding your own online store, please feel free to leave an inquiry! Elifunt looks forward to exploring the potential for organic growth with more brands. 🙂
