Saige is a machine vision AI company founded by researchers from Seoul National University’s Robotics Research Institute. While they possessed innovative technology, explaining complex B2B technology to their target customers was another challenge.

Sage, which previously generated most of its leads through trade shows, began working with Elephant Company on organic marketing early this year. Just six months afterits website relaunch, the company achieved a 342% increase in organic trafficand maintained this upward trend even during the off-season in the second half of the year, raising expectations for continued growth. The websitehas established itself as a trustworthy domain—so much so that certification agencies reached out to us first—and the sales team has consistently reported that “there has definitely been an increase in customers coming to us through search.”

📊 Sage × Elephant Company: Summary of Key Achievements Over 6 Months
✅ Organic traffic grew by 342% just 6 months after the website redesign

Sage created synergy between online and offline channels by participating in 11 exhibitions while simultaneously running SEO marketing campaigns. We asked them about the secret to their “internalized partnerships” that keep delivering results even after the contract ends!

Q. What kind of service is Sage Team? Could you give us a brief introduction?

Sage, an AI machine vision company and client of Elephant Company
Lee Seong-woo, Head of the Marketing Team at Sage, a machine vision AI company

Sage is a machine vision AI company founded by alumni of the Seoul National University Robotics Research Institute.

Hello, I’m Seong-woo Lee, Head of the Marketing Team at Sage.Sage is a company that provides smart factory and safety and security solutions based on vision AI technology. We are a technology-driven startup founded by faculty members and researchers from the Seoul National University Robotics Research Institute, and we are currently in a growth phase having secured Series B funding.

We started out with machine vision solutions, but beginning in 2025, we expanded our product lineup to include intelligent CCTV systems and are now focusing our businesson two main areas: smart factory automation and safety and security.

The marketing team began a restructuring process in September 2024 and currently consists of myself, a designer, and a content marketer.

Q. I’d like to know about Sage’s marketing results and its goals for 2026!

Our biggest achievement this year was our integrated strategy combining field marketing, SEO, GEO, and CRM.

This year, Sage's marketing strategy was built around three main pillars:field marketing (securing 10,000 leads through participation in 11 trade shows), SEO-based content marketing, and the use of CRM (HubSpot).

The most satisfying aspect of our collaboration with Elephant Companywas that the results continued to accumulate even after the contract ended. As we redesigned our website and published content, traffic steadily increased. Even though the first half of the year is typically the peak season in this industry, organic traffic continued to rise throughout the second half. In particular, traffic driven by AI surged by 1,309%!

I monitor the data on a weekly basis. After launching the website at the end of July, the numbers started rising right away in August, and now they’ve climbed to over 1,000 per week. Right now, I really feel like the expression “just waiting for January 2026 to arrive” fits perfectly. (Laughs)

Q. What marketing challenges was the Sage team facing before they met Elephant?

We needed a deep understanding of the B2B industry, along with SEO and GEO strategies.

When we were looking for a marketing partner, our CEO attended an Elephant Company seminar and decided right then and there to sign a contract. Of course, the finance team strongly opposed it, and there were internal voices suggesting we compare other companies as well. (Laughs)

We looked at other companies as well, but ultimately chose Elephant Company because oftheirB2B expertiseand experience with startups. In particular, we were confident that they would be able to fully understand a complex tech industry like ours, and they truly lived up to our expectations.

Q. What did you particularly enjoy or find memorable about working with Elephant Company?

Elephant Company Client: Sage Dashboard

After the website redesign, we saw results faster than expected.

The most memorable part of the collaborationwasdefinitelythe website redesign. To be honest, it was really tough. (Laughs) Butthe joy I felt whenthe website was finished andI started seeing tangible resultswas indescribable.

Every Monday morning, I manually monitor traffic using Excel, and as I saw the data increase week after week, I felt a sense of certainty that “this is actually working!”

What really stood out to mewas when I posted content about the certification we received on our blog, and the certifying authority reached out to us first. They told us that the regulations, which are renewed every three years, had changed and asked us to make some updates. That was proofthatour domainis recognized as a trustworthy source.

📌Moments when Sage felt that “the blog was getting good visibility”
Contacted first by a certification authority: “The regulations have changed, so please update your blog content”
A representative from the parent company saw the blog and contacted us directly
Feedback from the sales team: “There’s definitely been a noticeable increase in customers coming to us through search”

“The website redesign was a process of translating our innovative technology into our customers’ language.”

Q. The website redesign process took an unusually long time and involved many revisions. What discussions took place within the Sage team during that time?

It was a process of discovering the CEO’s philosophy and our unique message.

The website redesign took a long time.As weare a B2B innovative technology company, CEO Hong Young-seok’s technical philosophy and the company’s guiding principles were very clear, but translating these into messages that could effectively communicate them to the outside world was no easy task. In particular, sinceweoperate in the highly specialized field ofmachine vision AI, there was a great deal of information that CEO Hong Young-seok needed to convey. Additionally, having been in the market for so long,we tended to focus solely on the specific needs of the clients we work with, rather than the market average.

Although we exchanged feedback with the Elephant team up to four rounds for each individual page, we learned a great dealasthe Elephant teamhelped us rephraseour messagesinto language that customers could understand. I think both Elephant and our team worked together with the mindset that we had to deliver results without compromising.

Q. We previously suggested enhancing content tailored to specific industries. Have relations with those industries actually improved?

Elephant Company Client Success Story: Sage

We’ve gained new clients in the port sector, and there’s been a particularly significant increase in the number of customers showing interest in our new safety products.

Elephant’s suggestion—that while machine vision AI technology is straightforward, the approach must be tailored to each industry—proved spot on. In fact, we secured our first new deal in the port sector, and overall interest has grown across industries such as construction, logistics, and F&B.

In particular,we’ve seen a significant increase in traffic forour newSafety (intelligent CCTV)product. It’s also a sector with very high search volume. Recently, we even had a case where someone contacted us because they felt our Safety websitewas the most well-organized one out there.

Q. We created and provided you with a dashboard. How are you using it internally?

It's so useful because I can see page-level traffic and conversions at a glance.

I really love the dashboard created by Elephant Company! The best part is that I can see at a glance which pages visitors came from and whether those visits led to inquiries. I’m using the dashboard to immediately inform my content planning for next month.

💡 Data-Driven Decision-Making Tips from a Senior Marketer
“I monitor performance on a weekly basis. Every Monday morning, I make a point of compiling the data myself in Excel. I found that I could only truly grasp the results when I consolidated the performance data from various channels into a single report. It was really important to look at the data and think, ‘Ah, it went up again this week!’ That’s how I get a sense of what content is effective and what to do next. For example, looking at the inquiry conversion rate by channel, 3 out of 130 visitors from paid ads made an inquiry, while3 out of 14 visitors from organic traffic did. Ultimately, the data confirmed that the quality of organic traffic is much higher.”

Q. How have you been using the e-books and content you created with Elephant?

We're currently using them for regular pop-ups and social ads, and they're working really well.

Since we anticipated that the website redesign would take a long time, the e-book was the first piece of content we planned with Elephant Company. We’re still using it to capture leads through a persistent pop-up and running social media ads with it. It’s been incredibly effective, and we plan to continue using it going forward.

🚀 Organic marketing that keeps delivering results even after the contract ends

Q. You participated in 11 exhibitions this year. Did you notice any synergy between your online and offline marketing efforts?

Elephant Company Client Success Story: Sage

Both are important, and they help build mutual trust.

In our industry, I believe we need to do both online and offline marketing.Trade shows are ideal for identifying targeted leads and are effective for achieving significant results in terms of volume. On the other hand, online marketing is effective for generating sustainable traffic and building brand trust.

Combining online and offline marketing also helps build trust. We received feedback from a customer we met at a trade show who said that when they searched online later, Sage kept coming up. Conversely, customers who discover Sage online also see our booth at trade shows and think, “Ah, so this is the company,” which helps build trust. It seems that customers only seriously consider us as an option when they see us in both channels.

Q. What are your thoughts on collaborating with Elephant Company versus hiring an in-house marketer?

By partnering with experts like Elephant Company, you can minimize trial and error and build in-house capabilities.

At the moment, we don’t have a strong need to hire additional staff. The best part about working with Elephantwas that we were able to build in-house capabilities. If we had hired an in-house marketer from the start and trained them ourselves, we wouldn’t have been able to build those capabilities this quickly.

In particular, through our collaboration with Elephant, we’ve built up enough expertise in areas like SEO and content marketing to manage them effectively in-house. Even if we end up working with other outsourcing partners in the future, we now havea clear benchmark for assessing what’s missing.

My advice to teams considering partnering with other marketing agenciesis this: don’t go through unnecessary trial and error—work with a team of experts. If you try writing a piece yourself, you’ll see that it’s not something just anyone can do. (Laughs)

Q. If you were to recommend Elephant Company to another team, which type of company would be the best fit?

I recommend Elephant Company to Series B startups and teams that understand the importance of lead generation and SEO/GEO.

I would recommend this to startups (at the Series B stage) where lead generation is a key priority and whose teams understand the importance of SEO and GEO.In particular, I believethat those with knowledge of digital marketing—such as SEO and GEO—will be able to truly see the results when collaborating with Elephant Company.

Also, if you plan to work with Elephant, you should be interested in CRM marketing.Once you’ve generated leads through content, you need to nurture those leads in your CRM system to turn them into actual conversions; otherwise, you might miss out on valuable opportunities.

Q. How would you summarize your collaboration with Elephant in one sentence?

Elephant Company Client Success Story: Sage

“A partnership that truly becomes part of your business—one where results keep coming even after the contract ends”

I’d like to describe it as “a partnership that truly becomes part of our DNA, where results keep coming even after the contract ends.” With typical outsourcing, results are limited to the contract period, butthe website and content we created with Elephantcontinue to generate organic traffic.

Of course, the collaborative process of translating technical jargon into accessible content wasn’t exactly easy. To use a film analogy, even during the mid-production review, it felt like we were each shooting a different movie, but after a “rapid rethink,” it felt like we’d created a blockbuster together.

Through this collaboration, our teamalso gainedthe ability to understand and implement SEO and content marketing on our own. I think this is the most important part. I believe Elephant Company wasn’t just an agency that “did the work for us,” buta partner that helped us grow together and build our team’s capabilities.

Q. What are Sage's marketing plans for 2026?

In-person exhibitions + Focus on GEO + Enhanced media PR

We have seven exhibitions confirmedfor next year, and we plan to focus on field marketing, just like last year.

We also planto focus our efforts on GEO (AI Search Optimization). Through our collaboration with Elephant, we’ve started to see results from traffic driven by AI channels. Implementing schema markup early on proved effective, and we’re preparing to optimize AI traffic by introducing tools like the LLM.txt plugin. We recently purchased a related plugin, which was actually recommended by Elephant. (Laughs)

We’re also lookingto step up our media PR efforts. We believe that brand credibility will increase if our content isn’t limited to our blog but is also featured in external media outlets.

💬 Communicate innovative technology in a way your customers can understand, and build trust across both online and offline channels

Among Elephant Company’s clients, Sageis one of the teams that saw the fastest results from AI-driven traffic this year. Just one month after launching their website, their organic traffic increased significantly, andit continued to rise even during the off-season in the second half of the year.

What particularly impressed mewas the strategy of combining field marketing (11 exhibitions) with online marketing (SEO + content) to create synergy. While most B2B companies struggle with choosing a single focus, Sage successfully managed both channels, gaining the insight that “customers will only trust and seriously consider a company if they see it active on both fronts.”

Thanks to the Sage team’s proactive learning attitude and strong execution, Elephant has been able to grow alongside them.Content growth marketing that translates genuine technology into the customer’s language, building trust both online and offline—this is an effective strategy for technology-driven B2B companies like Sage.
