Elifunt has also been running non-stop throughout 2024 as a team truly "obsessed with seminars." As we take a breather to welcome the new year, we would like to share the insights gained from the data we have accumulated. We hope this post will be helpful to those of you who want to host seminars but are curious about who will attend and how effective they will be.
Best-performing B2B marketing channels: Seminars/Webinars and Events
Elifunt's Seminar Journey with 655 Participants
Early last year, the Elifunt team had a lot on our minds. How could a startup just entering its second year gain a reputation among the industry's prominent practitioners as a hardworking team? Then, thanks to a great opportunity, we hosted a webinar with Grow & Better, and I saw the faces of my actual colleagues for the first time.🙂
The consequences of the seminar addiction symptoms I complained about at the beginning of the year were truly tremendous…
Meeting working professionals connected by our shared interests in B2B and SEO became a tremendous driving force for our team, even if it didn't lead to immediate sales. The professionals we met in person also looked upon the Elifunt team with keen interest! And so... starting with this webinar, we fell in love with the event, and a journey of a total of 12 seminars and 10 workshops has begun.
Who attended the Elifunt Team's seminar?
Starting with software development, a full lineup of diverse industries is making an appearance, ranging from education and healthcare to finance and manufacturing
The software development industry accounted for the largest share at 37.5%, followed by research and development services (9.1%), education services (8.2%), and healthcare technology (7.5%). While sectors such as software development and SaaS were the most prevalent, attendees also came from diverse industries including environment, education, finance, and manufacturing. I realized that many professionals in the B2B sector are struggling and grappling with challenges, as the industry is smaller and has less information exchange than B2C.
Industry distribution of those who registered for Elifunt Seminar during 2024
The attendance rate of company representatives, C-level executives, and management was very high.
This part was particularly interesting.
Working-level staff were the most numerous, with 321 people (49%)
There were as many as 181 (28%) CEOs, C-level executives, and management
There were 139 team leaders/lead level employees (21%)
While working-level staff made up the majority, C-level executives and team leaders/lead managers accounted for nearly half of the attendees. Even for our team organizing the seminar, such a high attendance rate from decision-makers was unexpected. This was interpreted as a sign that B2B marketing is a critical issue for each company, important enough to be considered by management as well as the working-level staff.
Job title distribution of those who registered for Elifunt Seminar during 2024
Highly recommended by over 70%! Not just a simple lecture, but an event to share practical concerns.
I have always placed great importance on the reactions of the attendees while conducting every seminar. When I compiled the annual satisfaction data, the results were truly surprising. The overall Net Promoter Score (NPS) was 67.11, a near-perfect score. Specifically:
71.14% highly recommend! (9-10 points)
24.83% satisfied (7-8 points)
Only 4.03% expressed disappointment (0-6 points).
In particular, the keyword analysis workshop received a perfect score from all participants. It was a special occasion where not only did they gain valuable lessons from our workshop, but the participating company representatives also exchanged contact information and shared their concerns with one another.
The impact of seminar follow-up content that caused traffic to jump more than fourfold!
Elifunt's website traffic has grown 4.6-fold compared to last year. Behind this growth was a dramatic increase in blog traffic. Thanks to the consistent publication of seminar review content, blog traffic increased by a whopping 18.5 times over the course of the year. Even after the seminars have ended, it continues to play a significant role in boosting the website's organic traffic.
These writings, in particular, received a lot of attention.
Many people were curious about the latest trends, particularly regarding SEO strategies changing with the rise of AI. It also seems that there is a consistent interest in B2B marketing case studies from other companies. By observing the reactions to the content, I was able to gain ideas for the next seminar topic and get hints on how industry interests are evolving.
Two amazing changes the seminar brought
We managed to let people know that 'Elifunt is a place good at B2B marketing.'
These days, during sales meetings, I often hear people say, “I was looking for a place that does B2B marketing well and found Elifunt!” I am simply grateful to see such a drastically different reaction compared to early last year, when we started out with no one knowing about Elifunt. Thanks to meeting many people in the industry directly through seminars over the past year and sharing our story, I believe we were able to introduce content growth marketing to the industry and highlight Elifunt’s strengths.
It led to actual customer conversions
It is not uncommon for people to personally hand us their business cards at the seminar and say, "I would like to schedule a meeting!" We have had the amazing experience of seeing seminars, which began with the desire to share knowledge and grow with the industry, lead to business opportunities. As many as 47% of partner companies transitioned from meetings to contracts, and 10% of them have already renewed their agreements.
Are you perhaps looking forward to the next Elifunt seminar?
Building on last year's experience, we are preparing a large-scale conference for the first half of 2025. We plan to invite speakers known in the B2B industry for their "real insights" to share the latest trends and practical know-how regarding B2B marketing, sales, and business strategy. We will share more details on Elifunt Blog and LinkedIn in March, so please stay tuned!
Seminars are more than just a marketing channel. They can be a powerful tool for raising brand awareness, building trust, and even generating real business opportunities. We hope the data from the Elifunt team has been of some help to those considering seminar marketing, and we look forward to seeing you at the next seminar! 😊
