On-Page SEO refers to search engine optimization work performed within a website. From a technical perspective, On-Page SEO is divided into Technical SEO, which optimizes the site, and Contents SEO, which optimizes the format and content of the site for search engines and users.

Since performing content SEO after technical SEO has been applied is advantageous for increasing traffic, we proceed with it following technical SEO.

Content SEO concept

Content SEO refers to a strategy of optimizing the content used on a website into high-quality content that can rank highly in search results by understanding the intent of search engines and users.

To create high-quality content, it is crucial to identify necessary keywords through a strategic keyword research process. Based on the results, establish an overall content strategy, strategically place keywords that drive traffic on each page, and perform tasks such as structuring and writing.

Since finding keywords that potential customers primarily use and that effectively represent your business is a crucial step, I will explain everything from keyword research to creating content utilizing those keywords.

Content SEO and Keywords

The Base of Content SEO – SEO Keyword Research

Keywords are words or expressions that best describe the content. Words entered into a search engine are called "search queries" or "search terms.".

Keywords for good content refer to core keywords primarily used by target customers and searchers that effectively express the characteristics of our company's services, products, and business. If you write content that appropriately includes related keywords that appear as recommended search terms along with core keywords, you will have a greater chance of ranking high in search results.

Considerations for SEO Keyword Research

1) Long tail keyword

First, keywords can be classified into long-tail keywords and short-tail keywords based on the length of the search term and the user's intent. Long-tail keywords may have low search volume but specifically express the user's intent, while short-tail keywords are keywords that include general and broad meanings.

Long-tail keywords are mostly in the form of phrases composed of three or more words, and since keyword length is not absolute, any keyword in the form of a combination that clearly conveys the user's intent can be called a long-tail keyword.

Long-tail keywords are easier to target because the user's intent is clearly revealed, and they have a relatively low search volume competition index, increasing the probability of obtaining high-ranking search results.

Considering the above characteristics, when organizing content, it is recommended to use long-tail keywords appropriately by placing them in the titles and descriptions of the site and content, and short-tail keywords in links and ALT tags that need to be concise.

2) Search Volume

Search volume refers to how frequently the keyword we intend to select is being searched. High search volume implies that the keyword may also have high competition. While selecting a word with very high search volume can lead to a significant influx of traffic, the conversion rate may be low because it is difficult to identify the specific intent of the searcher. It is advisable to establish an appropriate standard for search volume and select keywords by also considering characteristics such as competition and relevance.

3) Keywords containing the search user's intent

Search user intent refers to the reason why a user performs a search. If the keywords we select align with the search user's needs, the time spent on the site to obtain the relevant information will be longer, and the likelihood of a higher conversion rate will also increase.
